Luke at Garvan Woodland Gardens – Hot Springs, Arkansas

Luke is one of those kids where it’s really hard to get bad photographs. He has that natural ability to just make it work with almost every click of the shutter. I, however, do not. That is why I take the pictures and hardly ever get mine taken. My wife gets angry with how we have no pictures of both of us together. Sorry, babe. I’m not Luke.

Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas, although somewhat of a drive from Little Rock, has somewhat of a magical quality to it. With thousands and thousands of tulips, it makes for some great shots when they’re in bloom.

This was the 4th time I’ve taken pictures of Luke, I believe, and I was glad to see the hat returned in these pictures. At times, I felt he was impersonating Justin Timberlake. He just has such an innocent look that makes all of his pictures stand out to me in different ways. Maybe that’s why he is the cover of my portfolio I show to clients…

Wyatt

There’s something great about the Fall season. Summer’s heat is pretty much gone (except in Arkansas, of course), the leaves are changing, and the holidays are creeping up faster and faster with each day. If I could live in a perpetual state of fall, I would. It wouldn’t even be a hard question to answer.

This past Sunday, I had the privilege to take pictures of Wyatt for the first time at Bo Brook Farms in Roland, Arkansas. This was my first time at Bo Brook. It’s always amazing when I find new pumpkin patches in this area that I’ve never heard about. They had a sunflower field which totally threw my mind for a loop. I totally thought sunflowers were a summer thing, but they were beautiful and we had a great time.
