Christmas 2011 has come and gone. The crazy shoppers go back into hibernation for 11 months. Charlie Brown finds the true spirit of Christmas, only to forget it again in a year’s time.

There’s so much buildup for Christmas and then it’s just…..over.

Bethany and I are Christmas fiends. We dream of having our own house someday with a room that’s always decorated for Christmas. Whenever you’re feeling blue, all you have to do is walk into the room, turn on “Christmas Vacation” and your cares will be thrown away. Hopefully, by the time we’re able to have that, the technology will be there so we can have it snow in the room with the flip of a switch.

The week before Christmas, Bethany and I took a trip to Branson, Missouri with her parents. I haven’t been to Branson since I was around 5 and in 22 years, not much has changed. However, their Christmas setup is something to behold. Obviously, I’ve been hiding under a rock because I didn’t know so many people came to this every year. I felt like I was back in Korea all of a sudden, with the long lines and elbow-to-elbow crowds. We had a great time and I hope we make it a yearly thing and go back next year.
