Thanksgiving is this week and I hear so many people complaining about it not getting the recognition it truly deserves. We’re too busy setting up our Christmas trees before our zombie face paint can come off from Halloween. We’re listening to Bing and Nat sing “Oh Holy Night” for the thousandth time instead of indulging in Adam Sandler’s song about his love to eat turkey.
Yes, Thanksgiving, you have become the middle child that no one truly cares about anymore.
But, as people, we need certain things, whether it be a death or a holiday, to remind us of what we’re truly thankful for and the things we have. We ignore those things unless something reminds us.
